Are you an innovative accounting professional eager to join a fast-growing public accounting firm?

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Accountant on our team. At K. Rohrs CPA, we celebrate a culture of collaboration and constant evolution, providing you with a career that’s not just about numbers, but about growth, impact, and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform essential accounting operations, including payroll, loan reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries.
  2. Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  3. Carry out detailed reviews of financial statements to verify accuracy and compliance with both external regulations and internal guidelines
  4. Remain abreast of and comply with current accounting and tax laws, while being a proponent for process innovation.
  5. Manage both business and individual tax return processes, from projection to preparation.
  6. Calculate and file sales tax returns for clients as needed.
  7. Take on an array of project work, such as system upgrades, process automation, and detailed financial analysis.
  8. Engage with tax authorities, maintaining correspondence and ensuring compliance.
  9. Lead in the formulation and execution of internal accounting policies and procedures.
  10. Support the organization by efficiently organizing internal data across various platforms.

Qualifications:

  • A self-starter who is adaptable and enthusiastic about embracing new challenges.
  • A commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and tax experience.
  • Experience with preparing both business and personal tax returns.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline.
  • Proficiency in Lacerte (preferred), QuickBooks Online, and advanced Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented prowess.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and client relations.
  • Organized with exemplary time management capabilities; adept at prioritizing.
