Key Responsibilities:
- Perform essential accounting operations, including payroll, loan reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Carry out detailed reviews of financial statements to verify accuracy and compliance with both external regulations and internal guidelines
- Remain abreast of and comply with current accounting and tax laws, while being a proponent for process innovation.
- Manage both business and individual tax return processes, from projection to preparation.
- Calculate and file sales tax returns for clients as needed.
- Take on an array of project work, such as system upgrades, process automation, and detailed financial analysis.
- Engage with tax authorities, maintaining correspondence and ensuring compliance.
- Lead in the formulation and execution of internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the organization by efficiently organizing internal data across various platforms.
Qualifications:
- A self-starter who is adaptable and enthusiastic about embracing new challenges.
- A commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and tax experience.
- Experience with preparing both business and personal tax returns.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline.
- Proficiency in Lacerte (preferred), QuickBooks Online, and advanced Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented prowess.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and client relations.
- Organized with exemplary time management capabilities; adept at prioritizing.
